Current occupational role: Consultant Audiologist
Areas of special interest: Advanced Clinical Practice, Diagnostic Audiology

I began my career in Audiology in 1998 at Southend General Hospital. After completing the BTEC in physiological measurement, the BAAT I & II, and NVQ III in Audiology, I went on to study for a PgCert (Deaf Children & Families) with Manchester University. With the PgCert complete, I have undertaken an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice with the University of Essex. Most recently I have completed a professional doctorate (AuD) with Nova Southeastern University, Florida.

I have worked at Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust through-out my career, supplementing my understanding of the wider audiological community through short locum posts, and as an external practical assessor for UCL’s BSc in Audiology.

I am currently the Deputy Manager at Southend, involved in a number of clinical and managerial workstreams. My interests include clinical innovation and advanced clinical practice within audiology.
