Confirmation from DH with regard to Hearing Aid funding: A letter went out to SHA Directors of Finance on 26 July regarding the central budget bundle allocation. With it went a draft service level agreement that set out the required outputs from the funding (also went to SHA CEs). For Older People and Disability one of the 'Objectives and deliverables' was that the money will: 'Contribute to the delivery of audiology and digital hearing aid services within the 18 week and diagnostic access targets'. There is no direction on exactly how the local allocations/priorities are determined. Aug06
