Here are some updates from around the country. Please support your regional groups. Meetings are free so an excellent way to gain to find out what is happening in the profession and also gain CPD points

Trent Regional Group have organised a meeting at Kingsmill hospital on 7th December.
Agenda TBC but should include at least one presentation on AQP.

Northern IrelandThe Northern Ireland Regional Group are having a meeting on 16th November 2011.
The afternoon session will be about standards quality in Northern Ireland.

This group have scheduled the BAA regional meeting for the 4th November at the Royal Berkshire Hospital The agenda includes patient centred approach to adult Audiology rehabilitation, Middle-ear Implants, Baha’s. Also a study on RITC hearing aids.

Scotland
The BAA regional group meeting for 17th September unfortunately had to be cancelled due to lack of interest. The subject matter was very interesting with subjects such as Hearing Link, processes for referral, rehabilitation, counseling and an overview of IDA Institute. The regional groups committee are still looking for a 2nd representative for Scotland.

Meeting Planned for 24th October 2011.The agenda is yet to be finalised, but planned topics include: Wireless CROS and BICROS aids, Understanding new prescription rules and how to maximise the benefits of advances in real ear measurement.
