Dick May sadly passed away in 1982.  Dick had a passion for audiology and was one of the first to complete the MSc in audiology.  Dick worked as an audiologist in Brighton and was a gentle man with an inspiring enthusiasm for his profession. In memory of Dick the Richard May prize was awarded for the first time in 1983.  This award is presented each year to a candidate who has shown a high level of excellence within the Certificate of Audiologigal Competence (CAC) examinations.  It is only awarded to a candidate who has achieved the highest level standard during their exams.
