This year BAHA Professional Meeting will be in Norwich Cathedral with presentations on the latest surgical, audiological and technical advances in bone conducting implantable devices.


1st October 12:00 pm – 5.00 pm:


  • Symposia by our sponsors: Cochlear and Oticon on latest developments
  • There will also be a subsidiary Ear Institute BCHI Registry meeting
  • Conference Dinner will be held at The Maids Head Hotel (included in the registration fee)


2nd October 8.30 am – 5.00 pm:


Guest Speaker: Prof. Ad Snik, Donders, Hearing and Implants Group, Dept of Otolaryngology, Radbound University, Nijmegen, Netherlands


There will be presentations and discussions on:

  • Outcomes of Dermalock abutments (Ian Johnson)
  • Audiological and surgical perspectives of the new transcutaneous Attract system (Prof Jaydip Ray)
  • Outcomes of wide base Oticon implants (Anirvan Banerjee)
  • The latest commissioning discussions on service provision of BCHIs (Andy Reid, Chairperson on Clinical Reference Group for Specialised Ear Services)
  • Educational and parental issues in children with BCHIs (Sue Archbold)
  • Bilateral BCHIs in children (Ann Child / Ann-Louise McDermott)
  • Multidisciplinary approach to bone conducting and prosthetic ear implants
  • There will also be a short paper presentation section



This will be an interesting and varied meeting stimulating discussions on current  outcomes, technology and commissioning.

There are a limited number of rooms at reduced rates at The Maids Head Hotel, which will be on a first come first served basis
