BSA Certificate Impression Taking (adults/over 5s)
Location: Audiology House, London SW12 8SP
This course is designed for individuals who work with [hearing impaired] adults and / or children, and require training in impression-taking, e.g. assistant/associate audiologists, ATOs, assistant hearing aid dispensers, teachers of the deaf, educational audiologists and acoustic technicians.
The course includes both practical and theoretical components. Delegates are required to pass a practical assessment undertaken on the day and additional assessment as homework, in order to gain the certificate. Course fee £250.
Tracy James is a Clinical Scientist in Audiology, and has over 10 years training experience. As a Professional Practice Committee member for the BSA she was the lead author for the BSA recommended procedure (supplement) – taking an aural impression: children under 5 years.
