Fiona Carragher the Deputy Chief Scientific Officer for NHS England is delighted to announce the nine successful recipients of the Chief Scientific Officer’s Knowledge Transfer Partnership for Leaders in Healthcare Science and to inform BAA that one of the successful associates is a member of your professional body.

Dr Siobhan Brennan; Lead Clinical Scientist at the Regional Department of Neurotology, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and Audiology Lecturer at Manchester Centre for Audiology and Deafness, University of Manchester.

This highly prestigious and competitive program will offer Dr Brennan the opportunity to build long-term partnerships between clinical, research and industry teams through collaboration at a senior level with partner organisations across the UK's National Measurement System (NMS). Through facilitating interaction and knowledge exchange, the programme aims to speed up the identification and dissemination of new, high-value approaches to improving patient outcomes and increasing efficiency

Over the next 12 months, Dr Brennan will also have the opportunity to enhance her leadership skills through development coaching provided by The King's Fund and to build their networks by joining other senior leaders at NHS England’s Healthcare Science advisory group, The King's Fund annual leadership summit and by speaking at next year's Chief Scientific Officer's Conference.

BAA Board supported Dr Brennan's application to the programme and we look forward to continuing to support her year.
