Update on BAA Meetings

March 16, 2020 at 11:12 AM

Following the latest advice from Trusts, many NHS staff have had their study leave cancelled and are not able to leave their places of work for external meetings or events.

As most of our delegates for BAA Regional Meetings are working NHS Clinicians, we do not feel it is appropriate for any regional meeting to go ahead as a Face to Face meeting during April May or June 2020.

We are looking to move some of these meetings to online platforms and we will contact all registered delegates through EventBrite to update them if this is possible for their meeting.

Meetings we will not run face-to-face

26th March 2020 Heads of Service – moved online

1st April 2020 North West Regional meeting – postponed

29th May 2020 London Regional Meeting – Postponed

5th June 2020 North East Regional Meeting - Postponed

11th June 2020 Yorkshire and Humberside Regional Meeting – Postponed

As most of our members are aware this is a very fluid situation which is challenging to manage.

As an organisation, BAA will continue to respond to the situation as it evolves and will review our meeting schedule again during June.

Our thanks go to all our Regional meeting organisers for their time in getting to this stage with the meeting schedule, but they have agreed that this is currently the best way forwards for BAA Members.

Keep safe and wash those hands
