Oxford Universities Hospital NHS Trust is looking for a Head of Audiology Services to take responsibility for leading both operationally and professionally the Audiology service.

The Audiology service provides support for adults and children across Oxfordshire and beyond, striving to deliver the best, most up-to-date evidence-based care for patients. There is also an Auditory Implant Programme providing Cochlear Implants, Bone Anchored Hearing Aids and Middle Ear Implants for Oxfordshire and surrounding counties. You will work closely with other Professional Heads, CCGs, NHS England and other key stakeholders.

We are looking for someone with a positive approach and a can-do attitude who is able to support and manage change. You should be able to work on your own initiative, with the ability to multi-task and manage a demanding workload. We are looking for a leader and role model, with excellent organisation and communication skills with extensive clinical experience, research and training experience and a proven track record of highly effective leadership skills. There is an expectation that the post holder will retain a clinical caseload.

The post holder will have significant experience in managing teams or services, including service development, performance management, budget control and absence management.

The post holder will provide clinical leadership and direction to the service supporting development of service delivery. They will be responsible for developing new and innovative clinical practices within the services and developing pathways with other professional colleagues. They should be able to respond to emerging knowledge and system changes by interpreting and implementing national and local drivers.

Applicants should be an Audiologist or a Clinical Scientist registered with the Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP), the Academy of Healthcare Science or the Health and Care Professions Council (registered as a clinical scientist)
