Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Fractional flexible hours available.

The Health Professions and Nursing Team is one of the largest teams at University Centre South Devon. We are a major contributor to the region’s workforce development, delivering high quality education and training tailored to meet the needs of the healthcare workforce, service users and their careers.

The team has been delivering health programmes since the introduction of the Assistant Practitioner aligned programme FdSc Healthcare Practice in September 2006, and the colleges first BSc Top-up programme, Enhanced Integrated Care in 2012.

In 2019 the team was approved by the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) to deliver the Higher Apprenticeship and FdSc Hearing Aid Audiology. UCSD are the first college to become an approved education provider with the HCPC with its own awarded Foundation Degree.

Student applications to healthcare related courses across the college are up by 200 per cent. As a result, our Health and Care Team are seeking to recruit 2 Lecturers to join its team. You will undertake teaching, clinical facilitation, tutorials, seminars, and student assessment. You will market and promote the provision within the section and support progression internally across the organisation, working with partners external to the College ensuring high levels of professionalism to further improve and increase opportunities for the students and the breadth of provision on offer.

As a professional, you will hold an Audiology qualification, which may include Diploma, Foundation, Bachelors or Masters Degree level or above, with appropriate vocational experience. You will be registered with the HCPC and/or RCCP and if not already held, have the willingness to attain a teaching qualification, funded by the College. You will need the ability to work as part of a team with a flexible, adaptable approach, and the willingness to adapt to timetables as provision requires.
