The BAA are currently looking for one member to join the Publications & Communications committee (P&C)

The Publicity and Communication team are responsible for the communication channels of the BAA. The website, magazine, e-newsletter, leaflets and other materials all come under our remit. The key aim is to publicise the BAA to audiology professionals, other health professionals and the public.

The main objectives of the team are:

  • To publicise the BAA and its members to professionals and the general public.
  • Ensuring effective, professional communication with members and non-members.
  • To maintain oversight of all BAA publications, ensuring consistency of messaging and style.
  • To maintain the BAA Website and act as gatekeeper to ensure appropriate communication.
  • Source content for, and monitor, BAA Social Media feeds.
  • Ensure all BAA members are aware of the materials available to them that BAA produce.
  • Media request handling and establishing BAA as an ‘expert’ in Audiology.
  • Promote BAA as a professional body, particularly with regards to:
    • Event representation
    • Materials for representation
    • Support regional group leads
  • Communication with wider public

We meet every 3 months for 3-4 hours. All meetings are currently virtual, and a virtual option will remain after COVID restrictions have been lifted.
