Main responsibilities

The Department of Natural Sciences are looking for a dynamic individual to join and complement our current team supporting the delivery of our portfolio of health care sciences awards and apprenticeships.

This is a job role is aimed at an existing practitioner in audiology who is looking to enter into academia and pass on their knowledge to future graduates or an early career researcher looking for a lecturer post. We are looking for someone to support the teaching of our apprenticeship students on the 2nd year of their undergraduate studies. The teaching component requires support on Thursday and Friday AM but we would be open to revisiting this for the right applicant and may therefore fit around an existing job role.

This is an hourly paid position at present Current remuneration is £53 per hour for teaching delivery.   The role will expand over time as we expand our audiology provision and may therefore act as a stepping stone for someone thinking about entering into academia

We have brand new audiology facilities including clinic space based in at Saracens Rugby ground in North West London

The key skills required are the transfer of your practice so that the apprentices are able to develop their own skills.

Key skills required  

Deliver high quality teaching to students/apprentices including the design, development and review of teaching activities and materials

Identify best and innovative practices in professional training, learning and teaching and build them into personal teaching practice

Maintain an understanding of professional practice in Audiology to inform personal teaching practice

Give effective advice, guidance and feedback to students, to support their academic progress

Enhance student experience and outcomes
