Cochlear Auditory Implant Referral Workshop Improving Patient Hearing Outcomes

Cochlear is pleased to announce a comprehensive training workshop for audiologists looking to learn more about referring patients for implantable hearing solutions to improve hearing outcomes.

An application to the BAA has been made to have the workshop listed by them as a CPD opportunity.

This event is being run in partnership with the University of Southampton Auditory Implant Service and is FREE to attend.  The workshop is suitable for audiologists at all levels. 

Implantable Solutions will cover:

  • Cochlear Implants
  • Bone Anchored Hearing Aids (Baha)
  • Middle Ear Implants.

  • Audiological indications for cochlear implants, Baha, and middle ear Implants
  • Introduction to latest auditory implant technology
  • Overcoming barriers to referral, including counselling skills
  • Overview of the assessment process from University of Southampton Auditory Implant Centre
