*Workshop details

  1. Social Stories: What is a social story – the crucial ingredients? The opportunity to create a social story that would support children in preparation for their appointments.
  2. Visual supports: How to create and use visual supports that can help children to access their appointment and communicate effectively. Delegates would have the opportunity to create a resource which they can take away.
  3. Worry busting: A range of creative approaches to bust worries that children may have in before and after their appointment. Delegates would have the opportunity to create a resource to take away.
  4. Supporting sensory needs: How can we help children manage their sensory needs? Creating a calming environment. This session could include the opportunity to make a sensory resource.
