Deaf Awareness Webinar

BAA Board Director, Lauren Willis, will be joined by Saskia Harden MSc. Hearing Therapist for this Deaf Awareness webinar for students and Early Professionals.

This session will provide deaf awareness information to help professionals in their work life and will signpost resources for those wanting to run Deaf Awareness sessions for colleagues. Amongst the topics will be:

– Tips to include in awareness sessions
– Basic BSL
– Lip reading and communication with examples
– Importance of trialling equipment – loop, hearing aid demos etc.
– Real life examples

This webinar is aimed at Early Professionals, but all BAA members are welcome to join.
