As outpatient begin to expand services and consideration is given to restarting surgeries, MED-EL UK are offering a series of live lunchtime webinars on current key topics.

Fitting the ADHEAR

Synopsis: Following last week’s webinar on the potential advantages of ADHEAR in fluctuating conductive hearing loss, this webinar will go through how to fit the ADHEAR system. Including positioning the adhesive, using the audio processor, and understanding the configurations.

Efficiencies in Fitting MED-EL CI Systems

Synopsis: The suspension of normal clinic activity in the current crisis has likely generated a ‘backlog’ of new, and existing CI cases requiring some form of fitting procedure. In addition, one way of reducing transmission risk in any clinic situation is to reduce the time taken that a patient needs to be present. This indicates that means to reduce time taken in CI fitting is particularly relevant. In any fitting procedure, there is likely to be some trade-off between accuracy and speed. This webinar will outline methods to reduce fitting time in MED-EL CI systems, whilst minimising compromises.
