There are two informal network meetings coming your way over the summer for those interested in joining the National Deaf and Hard of Hearing NHS Staff Network:

The virtual meetings will be on Microsoft Teams from now on, as your feedback was that, on the whole, it is a more accessible platform than Zoom.

The meeting will be supported by a lip-speaker and a British Sign Language interpreter, and we will build a short 5-minute break into the agenda. You are welcome to bring your own interpreter along too, and any further support they can offer to the webinar is welcome.

We will not be recording the meeting, but we will send an email summary out afterwards for the benefit of everyone who can’t attend on this occasion.

We will use this first informal network meeting to look at two of the common themes from your feedback so far: training and equipment. We will share more details in a reminder email a week before the event.

Please be assured that all of your feedback from the launch meeting chat and its feedback survey is being used to shape the network’s direction, and that everyone who has requested a personal response will receive one from a member of the Leadership Group.

After our May and July meetings, we’ll be hosting another face to face event on Friday 20 September, venue to be confirmed.
