The BAA is currently looking for one new member to join the Service Quality Committee (SQC).  We have many projects in progress in all areas of Audiology, and are looking for someone to support these and future work-streams.

The BAA SQC provides professional guidance in all aspects of quality in audiological assessment, diagnostic and rehabilitative pathways for children and adults in the United Kingdom. The team’s main objectives are:

  • To set, maintain, promote and improve clinical service.
  • To set standards, write protocols and disseminate them into practice.
  • To encourage evaluation and audit of service quality.
  • To support local/national quality initiatives.
  • To advise BAA and other stakeholders on associated quality issues regarding the provision of paediatric and adult assessment, diagnostic and rehabilitative services.

We recognise the diversity in our profession’s workforce and would like to encourage applicants from all backgrounds to better reflect this diversity. Applicants do not need to have a specific level of experience or job title, and we will support applicants with different accessibility needs. Applicants must be able to meet virtually every 3 months for 3-4 hours, with one face-to-face meeting a year.  There is also work to be done between meetings – project work and document production.
