I work as a Teaching Fellow in the Audiology Department at Aston University. I teach across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. I am also completing a PhD exploring the hearing-cognition causal pathway, and the role of social isolation within this. My clinical career has spanned both the NHS and independent sector. I have a passion to pursue research that aims to enhance the quality of life and experience of older adults with chronic health conditions. I have chosen to be part of the EDI team because appropriate representation and inclusion at all levels within our profession is very important to me. In my career thus far there are not enough people who “looked like me” at senior levels and this is something that needs to change if we are to inspire the next generation of Audiology professionals to enhance their career potential without any forms of discrimination or exclusion.
