Chair of EDI Team

Before becoming an Audiologist, back in Puerto Rico, I was a Speech and Language Therapist aiming to work more with d/Deaf children and families.  It was then that I realised Audiology was a better career to achieve my dream job.  I then moved to Scotland and completed a MSc in Audiology from Queen Margaret University.  Presently, I am doing the Clinical Doctorate of Audiology from Nova Southeastern University, which I aim to complete in 2022. I currently work at Hull University Teaching Hospital NHS Trust and looking forward to start working at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as a Paediatric Audiologist.

I decided to join the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Team because as a minority ethnic professional, I had experienced inequalities around our profession. It will be a great opportunity to be part of the group of people that will provide better opportunities, support, and guidance so future students and professional do not go through the same.
