Now you hear it, now you don’t: the neuroscience of deafness

The Royal Society have organised a prize lecture to given by Professor Jonathan Ashmore FMedSci FRS on Monday 15 May 2017 at the Royal Society, London. The talk is a public lecture which is free to attend and no registration is required (on a first come, first served basis). It starts at 6:30pm. Professor Ashmore will be giving a talk entitled, Now you hear it, now you don’t: the neuroscience of deafness where he will explore how the cochlea work, how are the cells maintained and, importantly, what do we still need to know to preserve them for a lifetime?
